After setting up their tack, signs and other projects, Judge Jill Usipuk inspected their tack and grooming. 4H members completed their test before starting showmanship class. At showmanship, members walk, jog and set up their horses for the judge.
Next, family and friends joined the members for a potluck lunch. At 1:00, guests joined in cheering members during Horsemanship Class, where members ride their horses in a pattern and Trail Class, where members ride their horses through a series of obstacles, including a gate, bridge, and rails.

Drill Ride
Members also had to demonstrate a winter skill they had worked on. Riding skills like bareback riding, transitioning their horse through the different gates of walk, trot and lope, ground driving, picking hooves, and liberty work were showcased.
The older club members performed their drill, which was a musical ride. Lastly, the older members planned games to finish off the day. Members received their ribbons for their riding skill classes and record books. Certificates and a well-deserved bag of horse goodies were presented to each member.
Thanks to Leaders Susan Usipuk, Edie Tarasoff, Barb Degelman, Kim Currall and Avril Skolney, and all their parents who supported their children throughout the 4H year.
The club's sponsors, Edgebrook community, Raymore South Country John Deere, Rm of Elfros, Early's Farm and Garden, Town of Wynyard, Elsie Priddy and Future Traditions Farm, are much appreciated!
