Despite changes to council after the last election, some McKillop Council members still feel the need to denigrate the local reporter and newspaper. B S, fake news, bullying, hounding, feeding the parasites, all directed toward small-town media outlet. One non-council person has suggested in the past that all LMT articles be approved by RM 220 council. While the acting CAO tries to improve communication with the paper, some councillors continue with their rants. If you said it, if you did it, you own it. If it gets reported in print, councillors should defend their words and actions without blaming the messenger, as they have done repeatedly.
