On Friday June 26, the time came to say good-bye to Margaret Roland (nee Lynch), devoted wife of the late Ted Roland and mother to Linda Oblander (Dale), Rick Roland, Shaun Macomber (Terry) and Kathy Cook (Andy). Over her 92 years, she touched many lives. She was a farmer, teacher, librarian, sports fan, and an active member of whichever community she lived. She was always learning, whether that be through reading, traveling or watching the news. She asked to be remembered for her love of our family, her love of nature and her desire for peace in the world. Margaret leaves behind her children, eleven grandchildren (Deadra, Jennifer, Tyler, Kevin, Lyndon, Megan, Mitchell, Dionne, Taylor, Jefferson and Jade) and twenty-one great-grandchildren, brother Jim Lynch (Joyce), sister Barbara Schmidt, and her dear friend Dot Bridges.Pending restrictions, service will be held on September 5, 2020 in Govan. In lieu of flowers, donations made in her memory to Alzheimer Society of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Govan would greatly be appreciated.
