The distillery has unveiled a new brand identity and a refreshed logo to reflect the vision and future direction the owners want to take the company. The pelican on the logo is representative of Last Mountain Lake in Saskatchewan, where the Schmidts were married and together came up with the vision of a micro-distillery. The dream became a reality with great family, friends, staff, and support from the people of Saskatchewan.
The original distillery was built in 2010 in their Lumsden home garage, opening in 2011. With help from their families and friends, tremendous growth has continued over the years enabling Last Mountain Distillery to move into a new building with new equipment. The distillery uses all Saskatchewan-produced grains and malts in its products. With pride, they support provincial producers, a very personal, important part of their business.
Products such as Dill Pickle Vodka, Granny’s Gin and Cherry Whisky, as well as several specialty products and award-winning whiskeys,` remain in high demand.
Lokel Vodka, an economy model made from Saskatchewan wheat and produced at the distillery, contributes 10% of its profits to Saskatchewan charities.
Co-Owner Braeden Raiwet explained that now, after ten-plus years, Last Mountain Distillery has aged premium whisky available for customers who prefer a mature taste and flavour.
You will not walk away disappointed after a visit to Last Mountain Distillery. This family has their heart and soul in Saskatchewan from the start to a very fine finished product.
Tours and tastings are available Saturday afternoons starting on the hour. They may be booked online at www.lastmountaindistillery.com or by telephone at 1-306-731-3930.
